The Fristam PL Powder Dissolver is a hygienic inline mixing system engineered to efficiently dissolve powders into liquids. Designed for the food, beverage, and dairy industries, the PL combines compact construction with Fristam’s proven forced passage mixing principle to achieve rapid dispersion, clump-free blending and exceptional homogeneity in just one run.
Unlike conventional tank mixing, the PL reduces raw material loss, saves processing time, and improves operator safety thanks to its waist height design. Built around a Fristam FSP shear blender, the PL system delivers repeatable results with high-speed shearing clearances of just 0.5 mm and tip speeds of up to 38 m/s.

How the Fristam PL Powder Dissolver works
The process begins as powder is introduced into a waist-height hopper, eliminating the need for heavy lifting. Liquid is drawn into the system simultaneously, forming a premix that passes through the integrated Fristam FSP shear pump. With extremely tight shearing clearances and high tip speeds, the PL produces a completely homogeneous mixture in a single pass.
This principle of forced passage ensures every particle of powder is wetted and dispersed — avoiding clumps, reducing waste, and shortening batch times.
