Process Fluid Transfer
Process liquids are liquids that are used in industrial processes for various purposes, such as cooling, heating, cleaning, chemical reactions or as ingredients. Examples of process liquids include water, oil, acids (e.g. hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid), bases (e.g. sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide), and solvents (e.g. ethanol and methanol).
These liquids are used in a wide range of industries, including food and beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing. Certain requirements to the pumps are important to consider when pumping process liquids such as temperature, viscosity, corrosion/chemical resistance and safety. Grundfos offers the right standard and customised solutions for a wide range of applications.
For high-viscous liquids precautions must be taken to ensure that the motor of the pump is not overloaded. The viscosity of a pumped liquid depends strongly on the liquid temperature. We offer CR pumps with oversize motors for stable operation.
